The only thing the Doctor felt was fear.
What was it?
He shuddered as he trudged down the grassy trail covered in leaves and twigs in the dark illuminated by the almost beautiful moon.
Canada was supposed to be fun, he thought. Now I’ve lost Donna and she doesn’t know her way around here. But then again, neither do I.
His sweaty palms gripped onto the sonic screwdriver and he took a deep breath. No sooner did his eyes blink when a strange shadow stood five meters away from him.
No… no please don’t let it be …
The Doctor gritted his teeth together and held on tighter to his screwdriver. He glanced behind him, making sure the TARDIS was close enough to him in case he needed a quick escape.
“What do you want?” the Doctor growled, clearly funneling his anger towards this stranger.
“I want something of yours,” whispered a deep, gravelly voice. It was too calm that it was ominous.
The Doctor slowly stepped backwards with his back to the TARDIS, sonic screwdriver pointed in front of him at the shadow.
“I don’t have what you want. I could make this easy for you, or I’ll have to take you back to where you came from.”
The stranger chuckled. “No, Doctor, I will make this easy for you. I’ll leave, but I will be back.”
The Doctor could almost see stranger grinning as the mysterious man shuffled into shadows once more.
I need to find Donna, remembered the Doctor as he turned the key into the TARDIS and stepped inside.
But I love it. It’s FANTASTIC.
