They lay there in the dark, on the cold hard floor of the bathroom. She was comfortably settled on his arm and she could hear his steady breathing. She could feel his warm body pressed against her back.

“And this is a waterfall shit thingie…” He was showing her pictures he took in England on his phone.

She giggled. “A waterfall shit thingie??” And she fell into a fit of laughter and rolled off his arm.

He chuckled, pulled her back, and held her until she stifled her laughter.

He continued to show her pictures but most of the time, she turned back around to look into his eyes. He was so intent on showing her his adventures that she doubted he even noticed. His eyes were sparkling with memories. She wished she were there in England with him.

She looked back at his phone and the pictures. Then, she had that feeling — the feeling you suddenly realize where you are, what you’re doing, and who you’re with.

I’m lying on the bathroom floor, in the dark, nude, with the love of my life. This is completely normal.

“DOESN’T THIS PIZZA LOOK SO GOOD??”

He zoomed in and out of the pizza with his fingers. She smiled. I’ve got one crazy boyfriend, but I wouldn’t have him any other way.

“I don’t like pizza. Ew, ew, ew!” She turned the other way and “hid” from the pizza in his body, which was pulsating with heat.

Even though they were weirdly strange with each other, their chemistry was unmistakably strong. Some people mistook them for being together for at least a year or two, but truth is, they haven’t even been together for half a year yet. I’m not planning on letting this one go as easily either, she thought. She held on tighter to the arm that held her.

He was still ranting about how good the pizza tasted.
